I've been a bit busy to post my last 2 days of the October photo challenge but here they are handwriting & make up.
The lipsticks are from Collection 2000. I'm quite annoyed as in my town with wilkos, boots & superdrug I couldnt find any autumn inspired colours such as vibrant reds, oranges or yellows so I bought some lipsticks at a bargain price instead. I may have to scour the internet for some autumn colours for autumn inspired colours, but will be reviewing these lipsticks as soon as I can for you guys, bye for now x

Growing out bleached/pre-lightened hair and going back to virgin!!!
Just a post about hair right now. To your left, is how my hair is in it's current state. My challenge now is to grow all of this out back to my natural virgin colour, crazy huh?
My hair has literally been every colour imaginable but still it is in pretty good condition to say the least. I first started colouring my hair when I was about 13. I'd get picked on for my hair colour and looking back it wasn't even that bad of a colour. My aunties and parents told me this for years. They'd tell me people paid a lot of money for my natural colour and I used to laugh this off and literally think 'don't be daft'. I used to do hairdressing and it's very rare nowadays to see anybody with virgin hair. Everyone colours their hair in society now. It's just seen as acceptable and girls start colouring their hair as young teens. Hair colouring does come with it's risks though as I found out the hard way.
As said above, for my birthday I was either 13 or 14, I had an appointment booked and my hair was coloured a mahogany colour, I love it and kept this colour for about a year, I loved dying my hair and it was such a change from the boring natural colour I'd been 'blessed' with for years and years. The closest I remember my natural colour being is the picture to the right of Mary-Kate Olsen (please correct me if I'm wrong!). At least after colouring my hair I was no longer picked on for my hair colour, but unfortunately kids can be cruel and they soon found something else. After that I started colouring my hair black but one horrible day I woke up to find I'd suffered an allergic reaction, my eyes were weepy and swollen shut and I looked like I'd been beaten up. It took a while to recover and I got told I had an allergy to colourants with PPD's in. This is a main ingredient in permanent dyes and I was rather annoyed, this year (years later) I suffered the same. After the black and the horrible allergic reaction I was very careful and would prelighten my hair with no problems as prelightening hair doesn't involve the use of PPD's.
I think after an allergic reaction like mine, anyone with common sense would stop colouring hair altogether but I was desperate not to go back to my natural colour. I experimented using bright colourful dyes such as crazy colour and directions on my pre-lightened hair such as pink, pillarbox red, lilac, lavendar, hot purple etc. Sometime this year I suffered an allergic reaction even after a patch test by using a permanent colour I believed was PPD free. I ended up in hospital again with anaphylactic shock and dosed up on steroids, being told next time could be fatal. I can't come in to contact with these risky dyes. My hair is currently as above pre-lightened then a faded purple lilac colour. I've decided enough is enough, I'm sick of the roots which seems very lazy, There's not really much I can do with my hair anymore because of the allergic reactions so I'm going back natural. Natural hair seems to be very in right now with the whole ombre/dip-dye trend so maybe now is a very good time to do it.

Here, you can see a picture of what I'm aiming for, with most of my hair being natural once grown out. I really love the ombre look, once my virgin natural hair has grown out as much as this I'm going to ombre it. It looks so nice and professional enough for a job (which I'm aiming for). This way I will have nice feeling hair and any ombre'd hair will get cut out as it grows anyway. I'm going to be wearing a lot of hat's this winter to cover my roots. Cutting my hair short again just isn't an option now my hair is finally growing! My Au' Naturale hair challenge begins now! I will keep updates on how it goes.

Sixth form tips & advice
As promised, I'm back with a new video. It's been such a long time and I really miss making video's and blogging so that's a habit that I really need to get back in to! It's all been hectic in the world of Jess, but I'm not neglecting my blog or my you tube (promise).
I really need to get my head down this year and it's true what they say. A-Levels really do kill your social life but I'm in it for the long run, only I can shape my future, so I'm determined to be successful. This month, I've started my AS year in Philosophy & Ethics, English Language, Travel & Tourism and Media studies. In my video (below) you see my advice and tips for sixth formers everywhere! We're all in the same boat here it seems.
1 - At my sixth form we do have lockers. I wasn't going to invest in one to start with because I didn't see much point, but now I can't imagine my sixth form life without one! So handy and definitely worth it, although I need to make sure I keep my key safe as we only get one! I have a folder or so at home everyday whilst the rest are in my locker, and I just take them out as I need them. I take maybe one home a night to do revision or work (Yep, I've started revising already)
2 - I actually spotted these travel coffee cups in Primark a while ago and it never occurred to me how useful they would have been till a few weeks ago. I picked one up at my nearest primark and they were on offer at £1.90 so literally cheap as chips, here in England. I then invested in a 1L vacuum seal stainless steal flask which cost me £4 from Wilko. These both are very useful for my days at sixth form, saves me some money too. £5.90 for the travel cup/mug and my flask altogether, and probably £1 or so every month or two. Now cups of hot drink at my sixth form would set you back around 80p so I'm the one going to be making the savings. I take the cup empty in my bag, but somedays I will fill it up out of my flask before I set off to sixth form - warms my hands up and I get a warm tummy of tea! My flask of tea comes with me and I leave it locked in my locker throughout the day, I fill my cup up at breaks, lunch or free periods, I've had friends tell me how much of a great idea it is and I certainly think so too!

5 - Bags! We all have a small fancy handbag, but truth is at sixth form it will be totally useless. You're gonna have a lot to carry around even though I do deposit a lot of my folders in my lockers during the day. On the average day I carry folders, books, paper, stationary, food, drink and more. You want a fairy decent sized bag at least A4 sized or you will struggle.

OOTD 10/07/2013 Casual...but bold?
Haven't done an outfit of the day, yet but I really enjoy experimenting with different styles.
I am me, I don't really follow fashion trends obsessively, I like finding things I like and putting outfits together. It's all good wearing the latest fashion trends but finding they don't suit you? An outfit can look amazing but if it doesn't suit your figure then it's no good.
Today I wanted something casual, but bold. I like to stand out and look eye catching. That's just my type of style. I started off this look with a T-shirt I only purchased last week. I am a big fan of skulls, especially sugar skulls/day of the dead. This beauty cost me £4 from Primark. I teamed this T-shirt with a black skull scarf I picked up on holiday in Benidorm for 1 euro. I love these Jeans because of the stripes. They are bold and eye catching and were an amazing catch at just £5 from Bliss. To finish off this outfit I have added a black pinstripe jacket which is actually from a charity shop and a pair of black wedges (£15 from New Look) to tone down the look a little. Statement made!
